Ellen has a long history of working professionally and personally in the fields of education, child development, behavioral management, speech language delays, sensory integration and play therapy. She is a teacher, an advocate and an understanding member of the special needs community. She is held in high regard both by the medical and educational community both in New York State in North Carolina. Ellen has served as a program coordinator and lead teacher of a distinguished inclusion preschool program in the Raleigh vicinity. Ellen believes in helping a child become a “whole” person by addressing all primary areas of developmental growth as the child matures: social, physical, emotional, communication and intellect.

Ellen has received extensive training in the fields of Autism, ADHD, Anxiety disorders, Tourette’s syndrome, Neurological impairments, Sensory processing disorders, Behavioral interventions, Brain development and Infant/ Toddler care. Ellen’s past work experience includes working with children with Down syndrome, Hearing impairments, physical disabilities, feeding issues and Apraxia. Ellen is a trained: “Social Butterfly Club” instructor. Ellen believes working with a “team” concept to ensure the Child’s maximum potential and continual growth. The “team” starts with the family and branches out to working with all therapists and doctors involved in the child’s developmental profile.
In addition to Ellen’s educational attributes; she has worked within and received Montessori training from 2 prominent community schools within the Wake County area. She has also worked in the capacity of a 1:1 aide with an autistic child within the public school system as well as past teaching experience in New York State. Ellen volunteers her time as a special needs religion teacher within the community, works with various special needs programs within the Raleigh vicinity and advocates for her families at meetings when warranted.

Ellen is married, resides in Holly Springs and is the proud mom of threeawesome children; two of whom are neurologically impaired. Ellen is continually taking ongoing education courses and attending seminars to best serve her clientele with the newest and most current techniques available.
